What an apartment Vastu audit covers

How Vastu applies to typical Dubai apartments
Most Vastu advice online is written for independent houses in India. Dubai apartments are different: open-plan layouts, glass façades, fixed bathrooms and studios. Here's how Kavach adapts the principles.
Open-plan kitchens
Many Dubai apartments have kitchens open to the living room, often in the wrong zone. We define the fire zone with rugs, lighting and colour, and adjust the cooking direction where the layout allows.
Studios and one-bedroom apartments
In a studio, every zone shares one room. We map the sleeping, working and cooking areas within that room and position each one for balance using furniture and soft dividers.
Floor-to-ceiling glass and large balconies
Glass walls bring light but can leave the south and west zones too open. Curtains, earth-toned furnishings and heavier furniture restore balance without blocking the view.
Fixed bathrooms in the north-east
Wet areas in the north-east are a common issue in tower layouts. Since the plumbing can't move, we use proven neutralising remedies and keep the zone clean, light and uncluttered.

Does Vastu work in a high-rise apartment?
Yes. Vastu is assessed from the directions and layout inside your unit, which a compass reading captures on any floor. Common high-rise imbalances, such as a north-east bathroom or a south-west entrance, are corrected with internal adjustments rather than construction.
Can I apply Vastu in a rented apartment in Dubai?

Is a south-facing apartment bad Vastu?

Which direction should the main door face in an apartment?
North, north-east and east entrances are generally considered favourable, but the door's exact position along the wall (its pada) matters more than the direction alone. Other entrances can be balanced with lighting, threshold and placement remedies.
What if my kitchen is in the north-east?
It's common in Dubai layouts and usually fixable without moving the kitchen. Remedies include adjusting the cooking direction, colour and lighting, and keeping the zone clean and light. Your report will prioritise what matters most.
